News: KENYA NETWORK ISSUES caused by Seacom sea cable disruption // **FIXED**
Hello,
18.30 on 12.May 2024 our monitoring system detected network flapping in Kenya, Nairobi. After investigation from our side, it appeared that fault is not in our equipment. We opened support case with our upstream provider and received answer very shortly that they have network outage in Kenya, affecting all international internet connections for entire Kenyan internet.

Today, 13.May 2024 at 10.45 we have received e-mail also from Seacom that works are ongoing to repair the cable.

OTDR measurement confirms the cable break at 42.56km from MNZ CLS.
The cable ship has been mobilized, as for the repair we are waiting for cable ship to share the POW.

As per the latest update, the subsea fault has been confirmed, and its location is estimated to be 35.6 kilometres from Mtunzini CLS.
We are coordinating with our marine provider for cable ship availability and repair POW

Please note that, services are impacted due to subsea cable cut near Mtunzini.
We are coordinating with our marine vendor for repair activity. As this is subsea faults, repair of the fault could take longer time(weeks).
